Zambia with its vast plateau is bordered by Angola, DR Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. Zambia is proud of Victoria Falls. the Zambezi River together with the manmade Lake Kariba, is one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. The magnificent Luangwa, Kafue, and other National Parks have some of the most prolific animal populations which include herds of buffalo, elephants, antelopes, plenty of lions, zebras, rhinos, monkeys, baboons, wild pigs, hippopotami, and crocodiles. Attractions in the capital Lisaka include nightclubs, restaurants, cinemas, the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, the Munda Wanga Botanical Gardens and Zoo. Nightlife is very spectacular in the capital Lusaka. Activities include dancing, floorshows, cinemas, and theatres. Local culinary specialities include bream from the Zambezi, Kafue, and Luapula rivers. Apart from sightseeing, these places are also centers for activities ranging from canoeing to white-water rafting and bungee jumping.

Places of Interest: Zambia has plenty of safari opportunities, mainly in its great national parks. Luangwa, Lower Zambezi, and Kafue are excellent for bird watching. Zambia, in particular Livingstone, has adventure activities which include outstanding canoeing and white-water rafting on the Zambezi River, while the bridge and gorge downstream of Victoria Falls offers bungee jumping, abseiling, rock climbing, and hiking. Very popular are rides on the river in larger boats with decks, rails, a bar and many other facilities; most popularly known locally as a booze cruise: an evening boat tour with a few drinks.
