STAESA's Programs

The programs that STAESA offers allow volunteers and interns to work on a multitude of jobs and tasks while experiencing the rich African culture. STAESA volunteers and interns can engage themselves in many types of volunteering and internship opportunities in their country of choice. STAESA has four standard programs that are applied to by the majority of our volunteers and interns: they are the volunteer, intern, teaching, and medical programs. To see what volunteer or intern opportunities are available in your country, refer to the page here.

STAESA gets many participants annually for its volunteer program. Our volunteers travel to many African countries, as well as India, and they always come back with good experiences. We receive volunteers constantly, no matter what time of year. We are excited to have you come and volunteer with us. You will be placed with a host family in close proximity to your preferred type of volunteer activity whether that be construction, teaching, or work in a hospital. To find out more about the fields of work available in your preferred country, look here.

People who are experienced in a field of work, or who want to gain an indepth understanding of a field can apply to be a STAESA intern. Interns can apply for many of the same programs as can volunteers. Interns will be placed with a employer who will properly train them in their field of work and then give them time to work and gain experience. Interns can check which fields of work are available in their country of choice.

STAESA's Teach in Africa program is open to volunteers, interns, and professionals in the education field. We work with schools in many African countries, from kidergardens to senior high schools. For more information on this program, please contact us with your preferred country, and look at the teaching programs for your country of choice.

The medical placement program is also an extension of the internship and volunteer programs, but also caters to medical professionals. If you are a medical professional, you are eligible for a stipend and an all expense paid medical program. We are looking for trained doctors who can work in the African hospitals that need help. If you are not a professional, but an interested person with some or no experience, we still want you to join us. Please fill out our application form and send it to us: we will get back to you with your medical placement.

STAESA's excursion, scholarship, adventure, language, and coaching programs are ones that have more info available on their respective pages. We encourage everyone to apply to the program that interests them most. Look around, and discover your passion in Africa.
